A Child All Alone
I had the opportunity to meet an awesome, dedicated and bright child about 2 years ago. He was only 4 years old at the time. However, he maintained and took care of himself like a young man. His mom had to raise him alone and his father was not around. I noticed how his clothes and shoes would be on wrong. Nonetheless, he contimued on with his day as if nonthing was wrong. This child was feeding and dressing himself while his mom would be asleep. Thank God, for His grace and mercy.

ReplyDeleteYes, children can move us emotionally in many directions. This little one sounds self-sufficient which is a skill many adults need to learn. I am sure you are thankful for being able to know this child.

ReplyDeleteI see alot of children who are taking care of themselves and siblings because their parents are not home. Sometimes they are single parent homes where the parent needs to work all the time just to survive and sometimes the parents are just out 'partying'. The problem with this new epidemic is that these chilren are growing up thinking that this is the right way to live!
