Personal Childhood Web

As a child my mom was always there for me. She would always listen to me even when I know she was tired. Eventhough we didn't have much, while growing up she would give me the opportunity to explore different avenues that I would want to take to help determine my goals. As a child my mom and dad had to take care of my aunts and uncles as well as us. So, you could only imagine how stressful it was for her and my dad. With all of that she continued to drive us (my siblings and I) to our best. Most of all she taught me to put God first in whatever is decided to do. Now today, my mom is like my best friend. She's my supporter and my prayer partner. I love her dearly.

My dad is my worrier and my conqueror. He was there to instill in me the values of being a go getter. Eventhough it may have been hard, he made sure we had fun to balance everthing. He made sure my education was my first priority in life. My dad was someone who taught me to put my mind to something and do did. He was also a strong disciplinarian. I thank God for this man who has helped to keep me with a leveled head.

My grandmother, whom I admired so much for her strength, was the backbone in my life's foundation. As a child my granny gave me rules to follow and made sure that they were kept. I believe that grandparents show a different kind for parental support. However, this lady had parental guidance of her own. Thought me to not worry so much about what people thought, but to believe in myself. What a strong lady she was. I truly miss her.
